The department's ultimate objective is to prepare academic faculty specialized in writing fields of education and scientific research, focusing on the following:

- Aspiring to be among the prestigious departments concerned with the Arabic language by enhancing its undergraduate curricula through comprehensive study.
- Achieving excellence in disseminating knowledge of the Arabic language, it's literature, products to serve society and promote cognitive and scientific status, aiming for a globally recognized position.
- Fostering a sense of national and Islamic identity in students through linguistic and literary studies that bridge heritage with modernity. This includes enhancing linguistics, literary, and cognitive communication skills- both written and oral ' to meet the requirements of the Libyan labor market and keep pace with modern developments.

The Arabic language department is dedicated to a purely education mission focused on the preservation and study of the language. It is providing society with qualified personnel who contribute to its development and meet its human resources needs. Furthermore, the department seeks to bridge the gap between ancient Arabic linguistic heritage and contemporary diverse curricula. We are committed to elevating the academic environment, educational quality through academic programs, systematic activities that cultivate linguistic literary, and research skills. Additionally, the department aims to promote critical and creative thinking while engaging with various cultural, creative schools, refine human sensibilities and aesthetic taste. Ultimately, the department strives to reclaim its pivot role in the linguistic Sciences, literature, and the broader Arab heritage, treating them as scholarly subjects and a framework for fulfilling our humanitarian mission.

- Equpp future generation with educational and ethical valued derived from the moderate principles and teaching of Islamic faith.
- Provide the Ministry of Education with specialized Arabic language educators to meet the pedagogical needs of national schools.
- Prepare and qualify students for advanced postgraduate studies and academic research initiatives.
